Meet the Teacher Event Friday August 30
Dear West Meadow Families,
While we are still in the middle of summer, we understand that many students and their families are starting to look ahead to the eventual return to school. With that likely comes excitement and perhaps a little anxiety for students about knowing which class they will be in this school year.
Our teachers, support staff, and administration play a very important role in determining these placements. Working in grade level teams, our staff members take into consideration many variables when assigning your child to his/her classroom. These include demographics such as age and gender, maturation, abilities and talents, and relationships among the students. Please be assured that our decisions are based on the best interest of your child and his/her unique academic, social, and behavioral needs.
We would like to invite all of our students and their families to a drop-in Meet the Teacher event on Friday August 30th from 9:00 - 10:30am. We will have the class assignments posted in our foyer and parents and students will be able to stop by their classrooms for a quick greeting with their new teacher. Students may also choose to drop off their school supplies that day to make the first day of school a bit easier. Families who are unable to attend this event are welcome to email me at email@example.com and we will do our best to respond with your student’s classroom assignment that September long weekend.
On a personal note, I am excited to join our amazing staff and continue to enhance the legacy of this great school. I have enjoyed my time getting a feel for the school through my early visits in June and look forward to starting off our new school year.
